What is it with us Brits? We work so hard that we don’t have time to take holidays?
Unfortunately although it may look great for your career that you are working so hard, it can be counter-productive.
In the UK we now have a legal entitlement to 28 days holiday each year (proportional if you work part time) with some employers generously adding extra days on top of this. But research from Glassdoor found that 77% of the UK workforce didn’t take all of their holidays. But it’s your responsibility to manage your holidays as well as your working time.
